Each week, we will spotlight events and sessions at the 2012 Congress.

The first session spotlight is Emergency services use of technology to respond to riots in London 2011. This session will be presented by British APCO members Alan House, Sue Lampard and Ian Readhead. The session will cover the actions of the emergency services during large scale rioting in London and will include a review of the technologies used to deploy 16,000 police officers and the London Fire Brigade, who were faced with more fire incidents than at any time since the Second World War.
